Add settings to manage platform notifications

Unless I'm missing something, Campuswire doesn't seem to have a way to manage what actually gets shown as a notification on the website.
I'd really like if there was a way to filter which notifications are shown to me. Having so many notifications makes it harder to prioritize those that actually require my attention.
Use cases:
I posted a poll in a class of about 30 people, and was subsequently inundated with notifications in-app and on the site every time someone voted on the poll. It was incredibly annoying, and as far as I can tell there's no way to turn it off. It makes me somewhat reluctant to run polls in other classes with 200+ people.
I don't really care to get notified every time some likes or upvotes something I do.

I agree. I'd like to disable notifications for students liking my posts or upvoting my answers. But it seems I can only disable receiving emails about those. When I visit the Campuswire page, I see these notifications with the same visual interface that alerts me whether there's a question a student needs answered.

kevin destin: That makes sense. Another solution for this would be to aggregate similar notifications into one. We already have this on our roadmap, and we'll think more about how to best allow users to customize their in-app notifications.

Duong Nguyen: Since this is still pending, I'd suggest as a start to allow us to disable in-platform notifications in the same way as email notifications. That is, we can currently select "don't email upvote notifications", so changing a singe toggle to a couple of checkboxes would be great.

Duong Nguyen: The aggregated notifications are not very useful either. I'd like to be able to turn them off for polls.
