I don't seem to have the ability to upvote a reply to an answer. For example, student A posts a question, and student B replies with a vague statement. Student C replies to student B correcting them and providing an answer worth of an upvote. I don't seem to be able to upvote or endorse the answer of student C.

Anther argument that comments on answers should be able to be upvoted, I've seen student answers that are (somewhat) incomplete or incorrect and the responding comment either fixed a mistake or clarified a problem with the answer. Such a comment can be more valuable than such an answer and deserves rep.
