In Firefox and Chrome, I often visit sites by typing in the main part of the domain name and using the Ctrl+Enter shortcut, which automatically adds
www.
to the front,
.com
to the back, and goes to that URL.
When I tried this for Campuswire, I was met with a certificate error, because the cert is only valid for
campuswire.com
and not for
www.campuswire.com
.
To replicate: attempt to navigate a browser to
www.campuswire.com
, either manually or using the browser shortcut.
